Rental Tips
Get the most out of your Paros road trip with these practical tips — from picking the right car to navigating the island like a local.
Before and during your rental
-
Book early — Paros is extremely popular in July and August and vehicles sell out fast. Booking 2–4 weeks ahead is strongly recommended.
-
At pick-up, inspect the vehicle thoroughly with our team and confirm all existing marks are documented on the rental agreement before you sign.
-
Take photos or a short video of the entire car from all angles before driving off — this protects you in any dispute at return.
-
Adjust your seat, mirrors and steering wheel, and take a moment to familiarise yourself with the controls before setting off.
-
Choose a compact car for Naoussa, Lefkes or the old town of Parikia — the lanes are very narrow and parking is tight.
-
Petrol stations are mainly in Parikia and Naoussa. Fill up before heading to remote beaches or the south of the island.
-
Parking in the town centres can be challenging in peak season — arrive early, or park at the edge of town and walk.
-
Keep your rental agreement and our 24-hour assistance number in the car at all times.
-
Drive carefully on mountain roads near Lefkes and Alyki — expect tight bends, loose gravel and occasional farm animals on the road.
-
Respect local speed limits: 50 km/h in villages and 90 km/h on the main national road.
-
If you plan a full day of beach-hopping, bring water, snacks and sunscreen — some beaches have limited or no facilities.
-
In the event of an accident or breakdown, call us immediately and do not move the vehicle before speaking to our team.
